A Health Fair Like No Other
The Home for a Lifetime Health Fair
In this economic strife, the Sisterhood of Beth Chaim Congregation ,
located in Malvern, decided to develop a health fair
that would reach
out to the community and entire region, to offer education and
outreach, explore avenues of providing more economical health
prevention and care by coordinating medical and wellness professionals
with the public, and by decreasing stress with fun indoor and outdoor
activities, music, food and fun.
Michele Paiva, Beth Chaim member, author, marketing consultant and
former news anchor, is the chair of the event.
“We are incredibly blessed to have had such interest from the
community; people from Philadelphia to the suburbs, all along the Main
Line corridor, have been coming out in droves to sponsor coupons, door
prizes and ask how they can help. This event is proving to me that even
in times off struggle, people do join together in support and to
celebrate the blessings we do have,” said Paiva.
For adults and youth, there will be games, demonstrations, door prizes,
music, food and fun, and of course, education and outreach.
Additionally, there really is something for everyone. Eli Kowalski,
born in Isreal, and a licensed writer with the Philadelphia Eagles,
will be on hand to speak, meet and mingle and sign autograph copies of
his new book, 75 Years of Eagles History. Kowalski is also giving a
very special signed-by-Eagles raffle that is sure to be a hit. The
charismatic local celebrity of television and radio, Lorraine Ranalli, will bring her electric personality and be available
to speak to visitors and sign her new book – a hot release that is
making waves in the region and nationally, The Gravy Wars; South
Philly Foods, Fueds and Attiytudes, a fun gastronomy that settles the
age old argument “is it sauce or gravy” with anecdotes and recipes
galore.
Outdoors, “One Crazy Fan” will be providing food, music and fun;
Michael Young, the CEO of One Crazy Fan, is a mainstay at Philadelphia
sports and charity events.
Other sponsors include: Surgicorps, providing over 2500 payment free
surgeries to 15 countries through medical professionals nationally,
with many in the Philadelphia region. Dr. Jeff Klein, of Klein
Chiropractic will be on hand as well as Dr. Kim Nurick Tarnoff with
Xocai Chocolate, chocolate that is good for you! Julian Krinsky Camps,
Jessica Mintz, Chef , Nasal Cleanse, and Symmetry Pilates & Yoga are
also key sponsors. Also, West Chester University School of Health
Sciences will be participating. For parents, CHIPS, Child
Identification Service will be outdoors with safety and precautionary
measure and education. For a full list of sponsors, see the fair website
Paiva will also be available to sign “The Gulch Method” educational advocacy and “The Yoga Textbook”.
There will be plenty of free items from sponsors, demonstrators and,
there are sponser and demonstrator filled “Swag Bags” for the first 100
families – graciously donated by Talluto’s in Philadelphia.
