On Sunday, September 14th, Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy (formerly Akiba Hebrew Academy) held a Hanukat Habayit, a dedication of their new home in Bryn Mawr. (See previous PJVoice article.) Celebration highlights included: a festive Torah procession with the extended school community, communal leaders, and supporters; placement of a mezuzah on the front door of the school; a brief welcoming ceremony; tours of the school's new buildings and campus; a lively reception; and demonstration soccer and tennis matches. If you haven't had a chance to see this state-of-the-art campus, call for a tour. This isn't your grandparents' Jewish Day School.
